Balikpapan Tour [FullDay]
East Kalimantan Slow-Day
East Kalimantan offers a majestic blend of raw natural wonder, ancient royal heritage, and the rising skyline of Indonesia’s future, from the towering 150-year-old trees of Bukit Bangkirai and the historic Museum Mulawarman, to the visionary expanse of Nusantara [IKN]. By embracing a slow travel philosophy, we invite you to move beyond quick photo stops at the typical viewpoints. Our itinerary is designed for a relaxed pace, allowing you to truly absorb the region’s breathtaking landscapes—whether embarking on a gentle trekking journey across the iconic Canopy Bridge to witness the panoramic jungle view, or standing at the heart of Titik Nol Nusantara to witness a national milestone—rather than just rushing through a long checklist.
To truly connect with the spirit of the "Heart of Borneo," we feature selected cultural walking tours and nature treks that lead you into the heart of local life. Experience the authentic charm of Kalimantan through flexible explorations and "travel like a local" transit experiences, with the optional addition of a curated lakeside picnic-style lunch at Samboja Lodge or a traditional coffee-tasting session overlooking the Mahakam River in Tenggarong. Whether you are a small group in a comfortable 10-15 seater microbus or a larger group in a spacious coach, our dedicated tour leaders ensure every moment is personalized and immersive, giving you the freedom to linger at your own pace.
By prioritizing your comfort and curiosity, we offer the flexibility to discover hidden gems and local secrets, such as the quiet traditional villages of the Kutai Sultanate or the lush mangrove trails of Mentawir, which typical tours often overlook. Our approach ensures a seamless journey where you can focus entirely on the experience, supported by professional guidance and personalized service every step of the way. By slowing down—taking the time to breathe in the crisp jungle air and reflecting on the vastness of the rainforest and the future city—you transform a simple sightseeing trip into a meaningful journey that captures the vibrant spirit and rugged allure of East Kalimantan’s nature and soul.
