Other Information
[Weather & Outfit] Lake Toba operates on UTC+7 time. The region features a tropical highland climate that is refreshingly cool, with temperatures in Parapat and Samosir typically ranging from 18°C to 26°C (64°F to 79°F), while Berastagi can drop to 15°C (59°F) at night. We recommend a versatile outfit strategy. Pack lightweight, breathable clothing for the daytime, but bring a warm sweater or light jacket for the evenings and the Berastagi highland trip. Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers are essential for exploring the cultural villages and waterfall viewpoints. Since you will be crossing the lake by boat, a light windbreaker and a hat are also recommended. Out of respect for local traditions at the sacred tomb sites, we suggest keeping your attire modest and respectful.
