Through this journey, the participants engage in authentic cultural processes, gaining genuine experiences that resonate long after the trip ends. Our editorial team recently had the privilege of joining the extended family of the Pupuan Village Government, Tegalalang District, on their executive overland adventure to Yogyakarta. From October 23 to 26, 2025, the group embarked on a strategic mission to conduct comparative studies, serving as a benchmark to elevate the standards of governance and public services back home in Bali.

Beyond the professional agenda, the journey embraced the spiritual and scenic soul of Central Java. After exploring Yogyakarta's iconic landmarks and completing their official duties, the group began a unique multi-modal return journey. They traveled by bus from Yogyakarta to Surabaya, followed by an exciting train ride from Surabaya to Ketapang Station, before completing the final leg back to Denpasar by bus. These shared experiences ensured that the mission was as enriching personally as it was professionally.
