Spiritual Serenity: The Keuskupan Agung Makassar Pilgrimage

In 2023, our editorial team had the distinct honor of hosting the participants from Keuskupan Agung Makassar, who traveled from various regions across South Sulawesi to the Island of the Gods. This special pilgrimage was designed to foster togetherness and spiritual growth, taking the group through Bali’s most iconic landmarks and its most sacred Christian sites. The journey served as a beautiful medium to strengthen the bonds of faith and community among all attendees.

The itinerary offered a diverse exploration of Bali’s southern and central beauty. The participants visited the majestic Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK), the pristine Pandawa Beach, and enjoyed a classic dinner in Jimbaran. The spiritual highlight included a visit to Gua Maria in Palasari Village, known for its unique blend of Balinese architecture and Catholic heritage, as well as the Church of St. Joseph in Denpasar. The group also immersed themselves in the traditional charm of Penglipuran Village and the breathtaking views of Kintamani and Tegalalang.
