Tengger mostly Hinduism and people believed they are descendants from the Majapahit Kingdom.
For Tengger People, Bromo Mt. or Gunung Brahma believed as a sacred mountain. Every Year, there is a ritual called Yadnya Kasada or Kasodo. This ritual occurs on a temple located on the hillside of Bromo Mountain, that is Pura Luhur Poten Bromo. The ritual started from midnight every full moon about 14 or 15 on bulan Kadoso (10th of months).
